Writing Books on Topics that Matter

During the pandemic, Ayla (grade 7) noticed that people were lonely, sad, and isolated. She decided to write books on topics that matter to also help support her family through COVID. The book Ayla has self-published are all available through Amazon and cover topics such as climate change, race, and inclusion.

Ayla's older brother, Abdullah (Grade 10), also assisted in illustrating the books and setting up their website. They have both become champions of the Youth Creativity Fund, often coming out to events to speak about their experience and encourage others to apply. Abdullah is currently one of our Youth Ambassador for the program through the 2023-2024 school year!
